So then a visit to one of the UK's premier superclubs was this the destination of this lucky member of the UK-CL team.

Now on our travels we have visited differing venues across the UK and we arrived at the Opera House in Bournemouth, the home of Slinky. The venue itself is a dramatic and atmospheric ballroom spacious in apperance.

On arriving we were given the briefest search by the door personal and then confronted by the news that Taucher was not in appearance and that Dave Lea would be filling in for the missing act.

The venue itself houses two genre's of music, the main dance floor houses Slinky's traditional Trance and Hard House with a glitzy foray of Cyber kids donned with their forever apparent glow sticks. And a second room which conveys a feeling of funky fresh house beats. Over the years, room two has taken on several different themes, most famous was the Drum 'n' Bass which later became so popular it became Cocoshebeen and now can be found at Urban in Bournemouth. More recently it was the UK Garage style that tried but sadly failed to take off, and now it's the turn of Scott Nuskool and Bob Baker mixing a smooth funky style of house.

Well a few drinks were taken on board in a gentle but upbeat start to the night in room 2; which was overseen by the strange but moving start to John Kellet's set. The DJ responsible for Slinky Super Club DJ Part 2 started his set off with Daft Punk, strange for a club so well associated for hard house beats. However the smoove introduction paid off and the main dance floor was pumping to the well-oiled routine of great house music. The night smoothly flew past as fast trance moods where brushed over the responsive and appreciative Slinky crowd.

The friendliness of the crowd has to be mentioned as every one was so egar to show their appreciation to every one else of what a great night they were having. However I will make one other remark regarding the crowd and that on the dress code it mentions no larger boys, however sadly there where a few that had snuck through the doors to pester the largely enjoyable crowd.

The music on this night was more trance than hard house, contrary to much of the reports I had heard before visiting the venue. But on speaking to many of the clubbers this was "different to the Hard banging beat that is Slinky"

As usual in any review the big question, how good were the toilets? We can safely approve of the Slinky toilets, fully operational, and clean, what more do require from a toilet?

My last words with regard to my night at Slinky, if you're into Hard House and or Hard Trance you are missing out on a night that will blow your mind away.
