Details: The world’s foremost House impresarios Hed Kandi are proud to announce the arrival of a brand new member to their funky fold; Disco Kandi: The Mix. Having built an enviable reputation as a label that you can trust, Hed Kandi have taken the tried and tested Disco Kandi concept and added a whole new dimension, this time mixing up the funkiest floor-fillers, with three discs of continuous party pleasures. Brimming with lusciously lengthy mixes and bold blends, Disco Kandi: The Mix evokes a classic night on the tiles with the Kandi crew’s hottest DJs.

Filled with the classic and cutting edge cream of House, Alex Gaudino’s piano powered ‘Destination Calabria’ gets Disco Kandi: The Mix underway, with its unforgettable sax riff and the dulcet tones of the legendary Crystal Waters before blending smoothly in the bouncing grooves of DADA’s risqué romper ‘Lollipop’. Current club killer Camille Jones Vs Fedde Le Grand’s ‘The Creeps’ comes correct with DJ Delicious on the remix tip, as super soul sure-shots like Ben Macklin’s Culture Club sampling ‘Feel Together’, Tyken’s ‘Every Word’ and Team Kandi stalwart, Wez Clarke’s ‘Someday’, just keep coming.

The second disc cranks up the funk-factor with the club mix of Junior Jack’s joyous ‘Dare Me’ before sliding perfectly into a classic with a hardy version of Dirty Old Ann’s bumping ‘Turn Me On’. Keeping proceedings ultra fresh, the recently Radio 1 play-listed ‘Guilty’ by De Souza and the Moto Blanco retooling of Booty Luv’s newest joint ‘Shine’, which reworks a timeless Luther Vandross number in to a cast-iron club anthem both make welcome appearances as Hed Kandi go for the knock-out with a relentless onslaught of big hitters with added diva power.

The final part of Disco Kandi: The Mix takes a deliciously soulful turn with Hed Kandi favourite Dennis Ferrer taking on one of the biggest club smashers of recent times moulding Fish Go Deep’s ‘The Cure & The Cause’ into a consummate low-down dirty groover that exudes sensuous cool. Martin Solveig’s ‘Something Better’ continues with the seductive sounds until Quazimodo offer up some Latin spiced action. The incessantly catchy riffing of Frank Ti Aya’s sparkling ‘One Love One World’ and ASBO’s rousing ‘Let The Beat Hit ‘Em’ add an urgent edge to the mix as Team Kandi ratchet up the pace, reaching the zenith with a truly fitting House Brothers refix of Hoxton Whores ‘Lost In Ibiza’.
