Details: As another glorious holiday season approaches, Hed Kandi, the UK’s coolest party house innovators, are ready to unleash their latest instalment of the much-treasured Beach House series, an undisputed cornerstone of the summertime’s musical calendar. Pouring unadulterated sunshine out of the sound system with consummate ease, Team Kandi have once again captured a deeply delirious and soulful warmth, in two sun-packed CDs.
With the Ibiza season fast approaching, Hed Kandi has all angles covered. Their ground breaking flyKandi partnership with Monarch Airlines will ensure you can reach the White Isle in style and the latest Beach House outing gives a teasing taster of what’s to come at their sun-drenched El Divino residency.
Mr Sunshine himself, Miguel Migs, opens the first disc with the shimmering soul of ‘So Far’ before Gallic groove machine Fred Falke gives nouveau electro pop sensations Hot Chip an incandescent glow. Buscemi’s flute looping ‘Nothing To Worry About’ keeps the mercury rising, before Ashley Beedle makes his presence felt with a luscious take on Ricardo Marreno & Time’s ‘Feel Like Making Love’. Hed Kandi’s own Ron Gelfer, two-step legend MJ Cole and Roachford add to the glowing vibe before the piano-driven splendour of Leisuregroove’s ‘Little Love’ brings part one to a close.
Miguel Migs has the unparalleled pleasure of taking pole position on both CDs, kicking off CD2 with the angular funk of ‘Those Things’. Balearic don Andy Caldwell gives Cloud’s ‘Turning’ a sweetly solar powered makeover whilst Hed Kandi’s new secret weapon Maxine Hardcastle makes a searing debut with ‘It’s Gonna Happen’ as retouched by stable mate Wesley Clarke. Eric Kupper gives Mayu the benefit of his considerable talents and Beach House regulars Physics add more gleaming grooves with the infectiously sexy Batacuda. Gothenburg’s greatest export Stisch and the incomparable Faze Action bestow Beach House with yet more quality vibes, prior to a delicious curve ball served up in the form of Chateau Flight’s ‘Baltringue’.
