Details: Following the release of Mr Sam’s excellently received artist album ‘Lyteo’ in 2006, 2007 will see a second version ‘Lyteo – Interpretations’ dropped on the trance massive. Featuring a double album of remixes by some of the leading lights of Trance. ‘Lyteo - Interpretations’ features all of the singles from ‘Lyteo’ including the massive single ‘Insight’ and his latest offering ‘Split’ featuring the vocal talents of the lovely Kirsty Hawkshaw. Remixers for the project have been hand picked by Mr Sam himself to include; Jonas Steur, Arcane Science, T4L and ATB to name but a few.
For Mr Sam the definition of a great album is when you achieve telling a complete story using music, taking the listener on a musical journey through the album and not just making a compilation of separate tracks and ‘Lyteo – Interpretations’ although in fact being a compilation of remixes accomplishes what he achieved with Lyteo: an eclectic compilation of tracks combing all genres, backgrounds, cultures and musical styles on one album.
"I knew in advance that doing such a diverse album wasn't that easy, but I wanted to achieve it. I knew how to make dance, techno and trance records as I’ve been doing it for years. The challenge was more to put together an album of songs rather than just 'tracks'. I'm really lucky that I had the opportunity and the chance to work with such incredible and talented artists. I learnt a lot from them too and vice versa. For me, “Lyteo - Interpretations” is a result of successful teamwork. Everyone put his or her best into it. I like the idea to work as a team, just like a band. I really think you can hear the results in this album " says Mr Sam.
