Details: Gut Records’ dance imprint, Gusto, knows what makes a hit dance record. And when it comes to pop dance records, well, there are none who do it better. Corenell vs The Lisa Marie Experience’s ‘Keep On Jumpin’’ is their next club hit destined for chart smash status, and let’s face it, when you have a revamped, pumped up version of a classic 90’s staple like this, it’s practically a given!
Germany’s Corenell and the UK’s The Lisa Marie Experience have joined forces on this Noughties remake of the old Patrick Adams standard that was first a disco hit in the '70s for Musique, then a Top 10 anthem in April 1996 for The Lisa Marie Experience, and again for Todd Terry a few months later with Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown.
Now, its time has come again. So – why the dual release? Well, Corenell kicked off the proceedings with their version of the record and, unknown to them, The Lisa Marie Experience was about to do exactly the same. Rather than go head to head in a bun fight, the two teams have joined forces to enjoy the ride together.
The new mixes come with powerful lead vocals with echoes of a youthful Jocelyn Brown, and are backed with an equally feel-good Fonzerelli mix that is set to repeat the chart feat.
Highlights to date include pop and club chart No.1’s in Music Week and others, huge support from dance and mainstream radio, plus a fantastic TV Airplay position (that’s rising daily) due to a rather tasty video featuring blondes vs brunettes women’s footie teams, a considerably muddy pitch, and some changing rooms antics (hence the original version being banned from daytime telly)… An early bath has never looked more appealing…
