Details: Following on from his massively well-received last outing ‘Les Couleurs’, Sebastian Davidson returns to Kinky Vinyl with the sublimely deep late night groover ‘Nightbird’. Like stepping into an abyss, spongy kicks and thick, warm pads combine with ambient percussion and a bobbing bassline to create a track certain to immerse the listener in the lush fullness of the awesome production, completely captivating the crowd with its mesmerising spell.
The in-demand Manuel Tur (Freerange, Compost) remix not only fattens the kick and other rhythmical elements from the off, signalling its intentions for the dancefloor immediately, it also focuses on the more haunting elements of the original, maintaining the characteristic depth throughout. The pads work alongside a much more dominant and punchy bassline, while Manuel throws a snare and far more active hi-hats into the mix, to ensure that the dancefloor is well catered for during its more driving moments.
