Details: Suesse Records increases its release diversity with French house belter, Super Commodore ‘Coline’.
The innovative label that brought us Jay Cox’s ‘Safe’ and Payami’s ‘Backspace’, stumbled across the show-reel of 22 year-old, monsieur Edouard Goux AKA ‘Super Commodore’, completely by accident after he approached them regarding remix work, it was then that they discovered ‘Coline’, a track that proves when it comes to house, the French do it best.
In its original form, ‘Coline’ nods its head towards Daft Punk’s seminal classic ‘Rollin and Scratchin’, a track that alongside early material from the Chemical Brothers inspired Edouard from a very early age. This is anything but a straight up house track; it’s leftfield and stands out as a distinctive sound that is currently gracing the dancefloors of the world’s coolest clubs.
On the remixes we have Netherlands based, rising talent Rogerseventytwo who’s already been on re-rub duties for Space Cowboy and has an upcoming release on Eyezcream Records. Swiss based DJ/Producer Philipe De Boyar is next in line who brings ‘Coline’ into the main room by still focusing on the main riff but adding electro stabs and breaks inspired drops. Having only been producing for a couple of years, this young producer is already a favourite amongst the likes of Boy 8 Bit, Touché, and Southern Fried Records.
All three artists involved on this release are under the age of 23 and come from outside the UK. They further back the Suesse ethos to unearth new and up and coming talent from across the globe, and ‘Coline’ in particular shows the diversity in which the label has to its A&R approach.
