Details: Prefuse 73 aka Guillermo Scott Herren will be announcing a glorious return by releasing new single ‘Class of 73 Bells’, which will also serve to pre-empt the release of his new album due mid-Autumn. This psychedelic sun dappled track features the alluring and angelic New York twin sisters, Claudia and Alejandra Deheza, part of ‘School of Seven Bells’, a wall of psyche band from New York. Introduced by Benjamin ‘Secret Machines’ Curtis, also part of ‘School…’, ‘In Class of 73 Bells’ they manage to create the same air of allure and impending danger as the Sirens of Lorelei.
‘Preparations’, Prefuse’s upcoming album is due out October 22nd. Crafting a water-tight set of masterfully composed and timeless tracks, with melodies that evoke the halcyonic spirit of “One Word Extinguisher”, Guillermo Scott Herren has fused and contorted the classic Prefuse 73 sounds that first hit you (kicks, snares, murky textures, samples, screaming, etc.), with experimentation in classical composition and live instrumentation to create some deliriously joyful results.
And it is with great anticipation that Warp can announce that Prefuse 73 will be taking his innovative live show out on the road this October for a month long pan- European tour. With him comes a new set-up with live drummer and another accomplice to splice and build, making the Prefuse 73 ‘Preparations’ album tour a delirious mash up of lap top, synth, decks and MPC with live drums, creating a kaleidoscopic interactive live show!
