Hard Dance Awards Update: 06.02.08 |
The date has been set, the awards polished and now we’re under way for the 5th Annual Hard
Dance Awards powered by Trackitdown.net!
Last year gained new heights with 4,000 fans packing out the world famous Brixton Academy in
London for the event and now it’s time to fly up the M1 motorway to take the ceremony to the
spiritual home of hard dance in the north; Sheffield! Home to key labels Tidy and Vicious Circle
and to one of the most infamous parties of all time Insomniacz, the city of steel has an incredible
heritage in hard dance…
First of all though the decision needs to be made; who has made your year!?
Voting happens through the all new www.harddanceawards.com website where not only can you
have your say but check out what’s been happening this year in the world of the leading scene
figures. Trackitdown.net has also made the Best Of charts available to buy as downloads
alongside tracks and albums from the world’s leading hard dance labels. Promoters and other
friends of the scene are free to add themselves to the site’s partner page to create a one-stop
resource. Voting on the site ends midnight 20th February 2008.
A celebration of all that’s good in the international hard dance scene, the Awards have grown
from humble beginnings five years ago to become one of most highly regarded charters of who’s
hot in the massive spectrum that covers harder music and parties. Clubbers from around the
world nominate online in a range of categories from Best DJ and Best Remixer to Best Producer
and Party Animal of the Year. Winners will be presented with their exclusive gongs live at the
Awards on Friday 29th February at The Plug in Sheffield.
As with previous years, the awards couldn’t happen without the support of the industry and this
year is no exception. Barry Almond & Ben Spier, the force behind Good Greef are promoting and
organise the event to their usual very high standard while DontStayIn, Harderfaster.net, M8
Magazine and Galaxy Radio are helping to spread the word to their readers and listeners. Many
thanks to you from all the fans!
Voting launches mid-December and promises to be hotly contested with lots of new DJ’s and
events really making the grade over the last twelve months. To make yourself heard and to
